We know it’s only a matter of time before we get to see what the next generation iPhone will have in store for everybody. Given the supposed disappointment from consumers and critics alike over the features of the Apple iPhone 4S, it would seem that even though over 32 million iPhone 4S were sold last Q4 2011, everyone still wants an iPhone 5. We’ve heard about the iPhone 5 getting ready for production, and it goes to say that if it hasn’t hit the manufacturing floors yet, it’s likely a few months away from anyone seeing an actual finalized product.
9to5mac had it on word from someone at Foxconn, one of Apple’s part suppliers, that a few ‘prototype’ iPhone devices were flying around the factory, which were said to have a 4inch screen on them. Investors were given word a couple weeks ago that the new iPhone 5 would have a quad-core processor within, which lends itself to debugging code found for the iPad 3.
Digitimes is now joing the ranks of sources for the latest iPhone 5 craze, adding that Apple plans on launching the iPhone 5 at the WorldWide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June 2012 based on word from a translated newspaper called the Commercial Times. They report that it will include a unibody aluminum case thinner than previous models, a larger display around 4inches (which jives with the rumor above), and a new ‘Glass-to-Glass’ touch panel which was not explained any further. Things are getting interesting in the Apple news camps lately.
