iPhone 5’s 4-Inch Display Rumors and Release Date Update for Apple iOS 6 Smartphone

The new iPhone 5’s 4-inch display rumor is gaining a lot of attention lately. Though Apple lovers still want to know when the iPhone 5 release date will be, they’ve become very interested in whether the consumer electronics company actually plans to launch their 6th generation iOS 6 smartphone with a larger than normal screen.

What are the benefits of having the larger screen? For one, gaming would be a bit easier, and a larger screen would likely mean the virtual keyboard will be slightly larger — a good change for those… not so small fingers. Also, for Apple enthusiasts who streaming media, or use FaceTime a lot will likely enjoy the larger display.

There were concerns the iPhone 5’s 4-inch display would cause an issue like that of the iPad with apps not displaying correctly, but recent rumors suggest Apple is one step ahead of their speculating consumers and have already addressed this concern.

Other than that, the only foreseeable issue with the larger display is that it obviously means a larger device, and no one wants to have to carry around an iPhone the size of a toaster. Sure that’s an exaggeration, but the longer you hold a phone to your ear, the heavier it gets!

As for the release date, the gadget is likely to début in October, but the Apple community is not going to give up on a June launch at the 2012 Apple WWDC

So what do you think? Is the new iPhone 5’s 4-inch display going to be worth it? Has Apple learned something from the iPad release, and worked out any possible glitches with the larger screen before the iPhone 5 release date? Will a larger handset be too bulky for Apple fanatics who are accustomed to the slightly smaller models?

Clearly, time will tell.
