The arcade game that stole our hearts, and lunch money for tokens, during our high school and college days is now available for your latest iOS devices. That’s right! Marvel vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes can now be purchased in the iTunes App Store.
Just released on April 24, 2012, Marvel vs Capcom 2 brought back your favorite Marvel and Capcom characters at the mercy of your fingertips, allowing you to play 56 characters in its roster. You get to start with 24 characters but you can unlock the rest as you progress through the game.
The controls are touch-optimized so you get to control the gameplay through flicks, swipes and taps. Versus mode battles are available as well and you can challenge other iOS users via Bluetooth. Check out the sample gameplay below:
A quick note from the iTunes app store: “The game can be played on any version after iOS 5.0, on iPhone 4, 4S / iPod touch 4th generation/ iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation. Note: this application will not work on the iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3rd generation or earlier, nor the iPad 1st generation.”
The Marvel VS Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes app is priced at $4.99 but can be purchased at a special launch price of $2.99 from April 25 until may 6, 2012.
