Flemington photographer’s camera work helps launch new iPhone app of NYC sites

FLEMINGTON — the camera work of Flemington photographer Audrey Kerchner has helped launch one of the newest iPhone apps to hit the mobile computing industry.

“JustYourTrip New York” features Kerchner’s work over a five-day, dawn-till-dusk excursion in which she shot more than 200 locations throughout the Big Apple.

“I was in the city before dawn every day because I wanted to start shooting as soon as the sun came up so I could get the most out of my day,” said Kerchner. “I spent time in the fashion district and saw it from two divergent perspectives. I was shooting the high-end fashion shoppers in bustling stores on 14th street one day, then the next morning I was on the same street at dawn before any of the stores were open and it was transformed. the street was still alive with activity, but with meat packers and delivery trucks … the transformation between the two worlds was amazing.”

“JustYourTrip New York” is an offline travel guide that offers over 225 audio walking tours of sites such as the house where “the Cosby Show” was filmed, Carrie Bradshaw’s favorite bakery from “Sex and the City,” a ghost tour, and the traditional restaurant and museum insights. the app is available online for $5.99.

Kerchner, 39, gave up an advertising career a little over a year ago to pursue a photography career, trading the corporate world for her lifelong hobby and passion.
