iPhone 5 Prototype Leaked? Gadget Stolen from Bar, but No Police Reports

A recent story about an iPhone 5 prototype being stolen from a bar has many perplexed. There’s been new details in the report of this thievery which has many people scratching their heads even more. Many more people are starting to wonder about the integirty of Apple as it may be some sort of promotional stunt.The iPhone 5 release date could come sometime in early October, or sooner if Apple launches a major surprise on the world. Meanwhile, it appears that the plot thickens in the case of the stolen iPhone 5 prototype. While the initial story said the lost iPhone was stolen from a San Fransisco bar, a new bit of info claims there are no records of a police report over the incident.A new report from Techland at Time.com says that both SF Weekly and Gizmodo blog spoke with San Francisco Police Department. However a spokesman for the PD has said “I don’t know who [CNET’s] source is, but we don’t have any record of any such investigation going on at this point.” That certainly adds a new twist to this mobile phone mystery.Techland goes on to suggest that perhaps Apple has its own secret mafia. Others are under the belief that maybe this is an elaborate hoax by Apple to ramp up interest in the product.
