iPhone Spy Apps – 3 Must Know Things

When you want to get an iPhone spy app, be sure you already know these three things. Knowing these things would help you avoid unnecessary expenses, save yourself a lot of stress that may be associated with trying over and over again to install the right spy app on the target phone. In fact, it also reduces the chances of the person whose phone you want to spy on becoming suspicious and thereby making it much more difficult for you to access the phone so as to install the correct spy app.

For more info , check out this article on Monitoring an Iphone.

  1. Your first duty is to clearly state why you want to get the spy app. The reason for this should be clear. Your need would determine the type of spy app you would go for. The spy apps have different features which would be ideal in different conditions. For example, you do not expect to use the same app you use for tracking your kids when you want to spy on your spouse’s phone to know if they are cheating on you. You would certainly need a more advanced app. You can certainly see why this first step is very crucial.
  2. The next thing is to know how detailed you want the result of the spying to be. This basically refers to how detailed you want the spying to be. If text messages are okay, your choice of spy app would certainly differ from a person who wants to listen in on calls made by the person being spied on. You could also want to know where the person went, see the call logs etc. If you can settle this too, you are closer to getting the right app.
  3. Thirdly, having decided what you really want the spy app for and the result or evidence you would consider conclusive, your next decision would be budget related. At this point I would want to state that though pricing is critical, you must decide which is more important between price and achieving your aim. You try not to let cost hinder you from getting the app that would do the work you need done.

You must know that at different prices, the apps offer different functions. A $49.97 3 months license from Mobile Stealth (www.mobistealth.com) would be enough if you want to be able to read text messages and see information like the call list, and monitor many other chat services like Skype, Viber, WhatsApp, Kik – (all the app you are reading about in the new). To the best of my knowledge, it is only this iPhone app that has the call intercept feature. Generally spy app will easily cost you $150 or more.

It is pretty clear now that your need determines the type of spy app you should get and by implication the amount you would have to spend. Make sure you achieve what you set out to achieve by getting the right iPhone spy app.

Get Back Your Deleted Text Messages – How To Find Them

How many times have you found yourself in a situation where you wished you had not deleted a particular text message because you suddenly realized you need to get some information from it or that you deleted the wrong one? So many of us have unfortunately experienced this and I am sure we at the time wished we knew a way of getting these messages back. Here’s a news you would love. Yes, they are retrievable.

For even more info , visit this mobile keylogger site.

Are we talking about getting back deleted text messages? Exactly.

Many of us would think it means calling up your phone service provider and requesting for this. Sorry, this is not the solution I am referring to. In fact, it is not a solution at all because your carrier would not oblige you though they may well have the text messages since they by law MUST keep a record of all your communications. The only information they can give you would have to do with details; Time, date and number linked to a call or text.

Let’s talk about the solution now.

You can choose between two methods one pretty easy and straight forward and the other a bit more demanding. We’ll start easy.

The first method which I called the pretty easy method simply involves getting a sim card reader. Some people call this a sim card spy device. Here’s what it does. You get the sim card you want to get information from and and insert it into the sim card reader. Attach the device to your system and using the included software, you would access every information on the sim card included the text messages. Other information would include call log, phone book and more. The extent of information you would find on it would depend on the amount of new data you have added to the sim card because as you add fresh data and the sim card capacity is maxed out, old data would be overwritten.

You can immediately see that you have some advantages and disadvantages with this method. The biggest thing in its favor is that you do not need to have installed anything before the time the deletion occurred.

One major disadvantage is its highly selective nature. It works only with cell phones that use sim cards and not at with CDMA phones. It is also costly relative to other methods.

The second method of retrieving deleted text messages which I said was a bit more difficult involves the pre-installation of a cell phone spy or monitoring software on the particular phone. This software has many other uses but we are concentrating on its feature that allows it to store information which can then be accessed by you. When you install this software on your phone, every information from your phone is transmitted by it to an online server and stored there. These information are uploaded to an online server where you can access them via an online account. Your job ends after the installation of the software. The software does its job unaided.

You may be wondering why I said this is a more demanding method. Its just that you need to go online using the phone’s web browser where you would then purchase, download and install the software. Not everyone may find this very easy to do. Again, this software works for text messages deleted after the software has been installed.

The advantages of this method are:

1. It is super effective.

2. It costs less.

3. The amount of information you can retrieve has nothing to do with what is or is not on the sim card.

4. Many more types of phones support it.

Here are some of its disadvantages:

1. You need to be able to install a software to comfortably use it.

2. You can not retrieve any text message that was deleted prior to the installation of the software.

3. In addition to your normal phone service, you would require an internet service on your phone for it to work.

4. Depending on the amount of information that is uploaded daily, you may experience an increase in your data service fees.

You now know the two ways of getting back text messages you have deleted. Select one that best suits your pocket and situation and be sure you are protected from the heartache of deleted information.

How low can ultrabooks go? Toshiba drops to $699

How low can ultrabooks go? how about $699.

Let there be no doubt that Toshiba is setting the pace for ultrabook pricing so far. After debuting at $799 last month, the Portege Z835 is now down to $699 at best Buy.

“They have a $200 instant rebate this week that brings it down to $699. I think it’s surprising. It could be to spur sales. It could be to get people’s attention. But it’s a smart move and by far the most affordable ultrabook option right now,” said Deron Kershaw, an analyst at Gap Intelligence. (Note that the $799 price only lasted for about a week when Toshiba introduced the Z835 in November. for the most part, it’s been priced at $899–thus the $200 discount.)

The only major rivals even close right now are Acer’s Aspire S3, which is priced just under $900 at best Buy, and Hewlett-Packard’s Folio 13, priced at $899.99.

Ultrabooks, for the uninitiated, are ultralight Windows laptops that compete with the increasingly popular, and more expensive, MacBook Air.

Specifications for the Toshiba ultrabook include a 2nd Generation Intel Core i3-2367M processor, 4GB DDR3 memory, 13.3″ LED-backlit display (1366×768), 128GB solid state drive, three USB ports including one USB 3.0, and backlit keyboard. The Z835 weighs 2.5 pounds, measures just 0.6 inches thick, and has magnesium alloy casework.

And Intel is doing its part to drive ultrabook sales, according to Kershaw. Promotional displays–referred to as “end caps”–have popped at Office Depot this week (see photo).

“It’s different from the other displays that we’ve seen. It’s pretty unique because it says ‘Intel Inside’ in huge letters at the bottom. so, my thinking is that it makes it easy to funnel in a few different products from different manufacturers and put them on the display,” he said.

Apple Claims Samsung Tablet, Phone Cases Infringe Patents

December 21, 2011, 8:33 AM EST

(Updates with next hearing in tenth paragraph.)

Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) — Apple Inc., which on Dec. 9 lost a bid to keep Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy 10.1 tablet out of Australia, claims the case for the device and cases for Samsung phones infringe its patents and registered design.

Apple issued the notice of infringement to Samsung in Australia over the cases, and will file a statement of claim, Apple’s lawyer Stephen Burley said at a hearing in Sydney today. Samsung’s lawyer Katrina Howard said at the same hearing the company was served with the notice that the cases infringe at least 10 patents.

The latest claims further expand patent disputes between the two companies that have spread across four continents. Apple and Samsung have filed more than 30 lawsuits against each other, according to the Suwon, South Korea-based company.

The case dispute was disclosed at the end of a seven-hour hearing at which Apple attempted to persuade Federal Court Justice Annabelle Bennett to delay a scheduled trial in Sydney on Samsung’s claims that Apple’s iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPad 2, infringe its patents governing wireless transmissions on 3G networks.

“this matter can’t be ready in time for March,” Burley said. “It’d be unfair to Apple if the case were to be hurried on.”

Apple, based in Cupertino, California, needs time to gather experts, who must file reports, and will need time to collect evidence to defend itself, Burley said.

Howard opposed the request, saying the trial can proceed as scheduled.

Samsung, the world’s biggest maker of smartphones last quarter, dropped its bid for a temporary injunction barring Apple from selling the iPhones and iPad 2 and instead agreed to the early hearing, Howard said.

The company would be “severely prejudiced” if the trial were delayed, she told the judge.

Bennett deferred a decision on Apple’s request and will hold another hearing Feb. 3. She told the companies to proceed with evidence and expert testimony gathering.

The Australian trial will be a prelude for Samsung in its U.S. case before the International Trade Commission on similar claims. Burley had said at an earlier hearing that will be heard in may and June.

Almost half the U.S. using smartphones, with iPhone leading gains – iPhone app article – Phil Hornshaw

New research from Nielsen shows that the smartphone is continuing to make big leaps in popularity in the U.S., now accounting for some 44 percent of all cellular phones being used in the country.

Apple’s iPhone leads the pack in the U.S. among smartphone manufacturers, accounting for 28.6 percent of the entire market in the country. It’s not the top platform in the country, though – that still goes to Google’s Android platform, which holds down 44 percent of the total smartphone market.

MSNBC’s Technolog has the story, which notes Nielsen gathered its data from 25,000 U.S. cellular customers and that the smartphone market in 2009 accounted for just 18 percent of all cellular phones in the U.S. Among manufacturers, Apple is the leader, but the next biggest share of the market goes to BlackBerry maker Research In Motion with 17 percent. next is Android device maker HTC with 15.8 percent, then the world leader in smartphones by revenue, Samsung, with 10.4 percent. the Windows Mobile platform came in fourth, accounting for 5.3 percent of all smartphones.

Among the 44 percent of people that own smartphones, more than half of them are between the ages of 18 and 34. Sixty-four percent of 25- to 34-year-olds are smartphone owners, while 53 percent of 18- to 24-year-olds own smartphones. On average, iOS users have 44 apps on their devices.

Facebook is the most-used app on both iOS and Android, Nielsen reported (which we already knew), and just under half – 49 percent – say they “frequently” use their smartphones while they’re shopping. In fact, using smartphones to save money is something that a lot of owners do. Nielsen also found that 87 percent of app users – those who have downloaded an app in the last 30 days – used them to access a “deal-of-the-day” website, such as LivingSocial or Groupon.

We’ve heard that Apple’s devices are growing in popularity and that demand in 2012 for the devices may be even higher than was previously expected. Sounds like we might be seeing Apple’s share of the smartphone market increasing as that market continues to grow. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see what Google and Android have to offer, but things seem to be going well for Apple.

iPhone app sales kicking app on Android Market, says study

Despite the growth of Google’sAndroid Market, Apple’s App Store is still the top dog among mobile app stores.

Looking at different app stores this past year, research firm Distimo found that sales ofiPhone apps alone in Apple’s iPhone App Store generated four times the revenue seen by Android Market. Sales ofiPad apps in the App Store chalked up the second highest revenue total.

The standings were compiled by looking at the total revenue created by the 200 highest grossing apps across each store. For the purposes of its report, Distimo separated Apple’s store into two distinct entities–one for iPhone apps and one for iPad apps.

One country Apple can thank for its app store sales is China, where downloads jumped dramatically in 2011. Comparing China with the U.S., Chinese iPhone users accounted for 30 percent of the total downloads between the two countries, while Chinese iPad owners generated 44 percent of the downloads among the two nations.

Apple’s App Store did see a drop in downloads twice this past year–once in February before the new iPad debuted and again in October before the iPhone 4S launched. but each dip was followed by a jump in downloads after the new device hit the market.

(Credit:Distimo)

Beyond Apple’s iPhone and iPad stores and Google’s Android Market, Distimo’s full 2011 report examined Amazon’s Appstore, BlackBerry App World, Nokia’s Ovi Store, and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Marketplace. Among those, almost all doubled the number of apps being offered this year.

Collectively, the major app stores now offer more than 1 million apps. but Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 store showed the greatest relative growth in 2011, increasing its available apps by more than 400 percent, noted Distimo.

Counting just the number of free apps, Android Market was the leader this year, outpacing iPhone apps this past June. iPad apps took third place, followed by the Ovi Store, Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, BlackBerry App World, and Amazon’s Appstore.

This past year also proved the success of the freemium and in-app purchase models, where users grab an app for free but pay for individual options or a more full-featured version.

Among the 200 top-grossing apps, Google’s Android Market generated 65 percent of its sales from freemium apps, while iPhone apps captured 50 percent from freemium software.

And drilling down just to games, always one of the most popular categories, the three largest stores for gamers were Apple’s App Store (for iPhone apps only) with 79,077 games, the Android Market with 46,045, and the App Store (for iPad) with 28,683. however, the Windows Phone 7 store showed strong growth in the number of games offered, surpassing the Ovi Store and BlackBerry App World this year.

So, which apps proved to be most popular in 2011, according to Distimo?

Based on the most downloads, Angry Birds nested on the top perch, followed by Facebook, Skype, Angry Birds Rio, and Google Maps. Rounding up the top 10 were Apple’s iBooks, Angry Birds Seasons, Fruit Ninja, Talking top Cat, and Twitter.

iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak: Two Breakthroughs by Dev-Teams May Solve All Jailbreaking Issues

Like us on Facebook

On Friday, French hacker and a member of Chronic Dev-team, Pod2g, posted a video link of an untethered jailbreak demonstration. Pod2g did not say anything about the release of the jailbreak, but people assume that it might be a New Year gift from the Chronic Dev-team.

In November, Pod2g came up with an update on his Twitter page about him finding a crucial bug that could untether the iOS 5.

“Hey jailbreaking friends, I've found a bug that can untether iOS 5. Don't expect a release soon, but I'm gonna work hard in it,” Pod2g tweeted.

Hours before Pod2g's achievement, iPhone Dev-team member Musclenerd confirmed that the upcoming version of redsn0w would be able to save both TinyUmbrella and Cydia blob saves useful for 5.0+ (1st verifies, then stitches).

The blob saves enable the program unlock and jailbreak the device in which they are saved.

“Upcoming redsn0w release makes both TinyUmbrella and Cydia blob saves useful for 5.0+ (1st verifies, then stitches),” Musclenerd posted on Twiter.

“For time being, please just use most recent TU to save 5.0.1 blobs+APTicket…redsn0w will do the rest, should you need to restore,” he added in the post.

Right now, two jailbreak programs are available and both are not untethered, and don't work on iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

Redsn0w is a tethered jailbreak – the user always has to connect his device to computer whenever he reboots it.  A semi-tethered jailbreak reduces the problems but still can't replace the need of an untethered jailbreak.

Both the jailbreaks are compatible with the iPhone 3GS (old and new bootrom), the iPhone 4, the iPod Touch 3G, the iPod Touch 4 and the iPad 1G. they won't work on the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 because of the A5 processor.
