IPad 2 Prices – Best Buy Leaks The Cost Of The Apple iPad 2 With Three SKU Numbers

However, not to outdone by Apple, Google have moved swiftly to update their Os for tablets and help companies like Motorola and Samsung get their own tablets to the market quite quickly. But has the “rushed” launch of the Galaxy Tab hampered their momentum? The original Tab was released to the market using the smartphone version of Android and commentators felt this was a bad move, especially considering how well the iPad performed. However, with Honeycomb now being drip-fed onto the latest and most powerful Android tablets, the playing field has been levelled somewhat.

With the iPad 2 featuring an updated dual-core processor, the Android tablets quickly followed suit with the Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1 featuring similar engines. These are widely considered the “Big 3” in the tablet world at the moment, RIM’s playbook and other such tablets are not exactly garnishing the greatest reviews. All of the “Big 3” feature updated Os’s, front and rear facing cameras and HD video recording. Both Android tablets have 1080p playback, whereas the iPad 2 only manages 720p. Many reviewers have commented on the fact that, despite having a slightly lower resolution, the iPad 2’s screen just looks better. The two Android tablets are the clear winners when it comes to the cameras, with both featuring 2MP front facing and the Xoom having a 5MP rear, the Tab an 8MP. The ipad 2 can only manage a VGA front facing camera, with the rear rumored to be 3-5MP. Apple will undoubtedly address this shortcoming with their annual hardware update of the iPad, most likely due Spring/Summer 2012.

Android 3.0 has now been fully optimised for tablets, although Googles frustrating policy of only making the latest versions available on select machines remains. This will not really affect the high-end Android tablet customers, but the lower end will have to make do with older builds. Widgets and full Flash support are now in place, Androids only real ammunition against the seemingly unstoppable iPad 2. This will no doubt make a sizable dent in Apples market share, but many (including myself), expect Apples domination in this market to continue for years to come. Recent figures released point to the iPad having 89% of worldwide and 97% of US traffic. Android has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years, taking a sizable chuck of the smartphone market. Non ‘premium’ smartphones are doing excellently for the Android brand, offering consumers a complete smartphone experience at a fraction of the price of a new iPhone 4 or Galaxy S2. Honeycomb and future Android updates will continue to improve their tablet experience also, offering a flexibility an Apple device will never have.

Apple, I feel, will continue to dominate the tablet sector for years to come. With the iPad and iPad 2, they have built a brand people want. Microsoft has had tablet PCs out for years and been unable to convince the public or even the vendors that they are the future. Apple has built a lifestyle tool in the iPad. A ‘tablet pc’ may sound daunting for casual users, an iPad is ‘just a big iPhone’, but the public love it. Now with iOS5 on the horizon coupled with the iCloud and iTunes Share services, the ease of use can only get better.

iPhone 5 To Have NFC, Among Other Things

The new iPhone 5, all things to everyone, a final solution to all the needs we didn’t even know we had. Not to mention a "Google Killer". Some of these claims and predictions border on ridiculous.

Apart from the obvious feature it will have, like a new dual core A5 processor which is in the ipad 2 already. We know it will have some apps that run on Apple’s iCloud, a higher resolution camera (Probably 8MP) and flash, etc.

It is yet to be seen that Apple will make this a 4G phone (Not according to most rumor and news sources). But one of the most significant, yet unknown features will be the NFC (Not the National Football Conference), NFC stands for Near Field Communications. This technology will initially and most significantly be used as an alternative payment method to credit cards. But there are other uses that would make this a definite technology to look out for in the next few years. Here’s a list of possible uses:

  • Alternative payment method
  • Easier Bluetooth Pairing (Touch and pair)
  • Easier Wifi config (next to the router, click and connect)
  • Exchange information sort of similar to the Palm Beaming
  • Boarding passes on an airplane. This gives new meaning to the term "eTicket".
  • Clock in at work (Company working on this called ExtendTime.com)
  • Medical record import and update. Every time you are at the doctor’s office, you can get your medical records updated.

So What’s the big deal about NFC and a new payment method on the iPhone5 and all smart phones? Here is the good bad and the ugly.

The advantages:

  1. Pay without extra cards in your pocket
  2. Eventually be able to have multiple cards on one device to choose a method of payment.
  3. Be able to pay with Credit card account, Paypal, Facebucks, Google Wallet (This is currently the only one working, and only on the Google Nexus S 4G on Sprint), etc.
  4. Keep electronic track on charges/payments
  5. Process coupons you have saved electronically.
  6. Automatically saves invoice on the machine itself, no need for paper copy.
  7. Even be able to send or synchronize a copy of the invoice or transaction by email or Cloud service, so you can keep track and make it easier come April 15th to pull all your expenses together.

Apple Revealed Its Best Apps For The Year 2011

The year of 2011 for Apple has been an up and down rollercoaster ride and a buzz-worthy one. On the news not too long ago was a report from The Wall Street Journal about Apple vs. Samsung legal battle in regards to Samsung’s alleged product "copying" of Apple’s products, and of course, the big news about the passing away of Apple’s beloved former CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs on October 5.

This time, however, it’s a different twist on a positive note for Apple as the company just revealed its best apps for the year 2011.

Apple’s picks for the best iOS apps and games selection includes top-performing apps in different genres of Podcasts and Books, TV shows, movies, music and App Store.

Winners of this year’s best of the bunch are picked and ranked under "Best paid apps" and "Best free apps," "Best iPad apps" and "Best iPhone apps."

The best free app of the year went to Instagram, a photo-sharing app that is also one of the world’s fastest-growing social networks.

In addition, the best free app game of the year went to Tiny Tower, an app that lets users grow an economic empire by building towers and populating them with businesses and bitizens.

Whereas, the best paid app of the year went to Snapseed, a photo-editing app that lets users pinch, mold, and shape effects to make jaw-dropping beautiful photos.

Meanwhile, the paid app game of the year for iPad went to Dead Space, a horrifying game that lets users act as a hero and fight for survival on an eerie space station overrun by zombies in the year 2508.

There you go, folks. If you ask me, these apps are absolutely fun and worth your time to download, so enjoy them.

Apple’s New Tablet – What Will iPad Cost and How Does it Work?

Apple has finally done it. Apple has released its new tablet device, that is. The Mac public was expecting, indeed clamoring — for Apple to release such a device — and soon! For Apple to have failed to do so would have been a major letdown (to its customers as well as its stockholders). The momentum was just impossible to resist.

After all, the iPhone is essentially a miniature tablet computer. Apple has shown that it can “do” such a device like no one else. So, despite Steve Jobs past protestations, releasing a new tablet was a no-brainer. All Apple had to do is scale up its brilliant interface to a larger device.

Did I say “all Apple had to do?” The technical challenges in producing this new device, called the iPad, were enormous. Apple had to essentially design a whole new operating system that is not quite the Mac and not quite the iPhone, rewrite its core applications from scratch, and basically rethink the entire way a computer operates.

Apple was not the first to release a new tablet computer, just as it was not the first to release an MP3 player or cell phone, but it may well be the company that succeeds in making the tablet computer truly “catch fire” with the public.

Apple has a tremendous head start with 140,000+ apps for the iPhone, and it wisely designed the iPad to take advantage of them. The iPad can run iPhone apps at their original size, or in “pixel doubled mode” twice the size as on the iPhone, so that they nearly fill the iPad screen. Developers can easily rewrite their iPhone apps specifically for the iPad in such a way as to take advantage of its new features.

How will the iPad affect Internet marketers? Of course, the “i” in its name stands for Internet (and it’s also a clever play on the name of the “iPod”). Surfing the web will be a joy, and a larger screen will give users much more room to work with. Apple’s developers brag that it’s like “holding the entire Internet in your hand,” or like reading a physical book or magazine.

Creation of new apps for the iPad by developers could rival the gold rush that sprang up around the iPhone. Apple offers the SDK 3.2 beta for developers with the tools they need to start creating applications for the iPad, and an iPad simulator that lets them build and run applications on the Mac, lay out the user interface, test memory usage and debug.

Web graphic designers and artists will enjoy the included Brushes application on the iPad’s larger screen, although some may feel that it is something like fingerpainting — a stylus that works with the iPad will not be supported, at least not initially.

Apple has completely rewritten its productivity software iWork for the iPad. Keynote contains custom graph styles, custom-designed themes, animations and effects, and brand-new features designed just for the iPad. Pages includes Apple-designed templates and formatting tools. Numbers offers over 250 formulas, flexible tables and sophisticated charts.

Want to catch up on your marketing reading? Apple has worked hard to make reading e-books, magazines and newspapers pleasurable on the iPad. Apple’s e-book reading software has an interface that looks like a bookshelf. Flip the bookshelf over with your finger, and you’re brought to the online store where you can purchase new books.

The iPad’s built-in Safari browser works just like the one on your Mac. And, like the version on your iPhone, you can scroll through pages by flicking your finger across them, or pinch or double tap to zoom in on a photo.

The Mail application offers a landscape view with a split screen showing both the current e-mail and the unread messages in your inbox. Want to view the current e-mail message by itself? Simply turn the iPad to portrait mode and the message zooms to fill the screen. The iPad will work with popular e-mail providers such as mobile me, Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail and AOL. To compose a message, you just tap and start typing.

This brings us to the onscreen keyboard. Many pundits wondered how text entry would work on Apple’s new tablet device. You can use an external keyboard for typing long documents if you wish. However, I think Apple made the right decision in not attempting to build a physical keyboard into the tablet. The goal of the iPad is to bring your data and web surfing up close for an intimate feel. A keypad would simply get between you and the screen.

The on-screen keyboard is much larger, of course, than what is possible on the iPhone. In landscape mode, the keyboard is almost as large as that on a standard laptop. With just a few tweaks to the word recognition and auto-correction features of the iPhone software, typing on this virtual keyboard, I suspect, could be almost as fast as using a real one. Plus, I believe that voice dictation apps could come quickly to the iPad, just as they have to the iPhone.

And, of course, the iPad includes all of the same features as the iPhone, only in a larger form–video, YouTube, the iPod and iTunes, interactive satellite maps, the notepad, a calendar completely redesigned from the ground up for the iPad, Contacts and Spotlight search.

The iPad will be shipped in three different internal storage configurations and with the option of Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G, for a total of six different models. The base model, the 16 GB Wi-Fi only, will start at a reasonable $499, while the top of the line 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model will tip the scales at a still affordable $829. Apple has said that, while most new technologies are introduced at a higher price point and slowly work their way down, Apple wanted to do things differently.

When will the iPad be available? Apple expects the Wi-Fi models to ship in late March and the 3G models to ship in April.

The thinness, just 0.5 inches, the light weight, just 1.5 pounds, and the flexibility of this new device are sure to make the iPad popular with Internet marketers and anyone on the go. With its high resolution LED backlight, it’s larger display, it’s responsive multi-touch screen and its powerful Apple-designed processor, the new iPad will be thin and light enough to take anywhere. And I suspect that many people will choose to do exactly that.

At 2013 International CES, BuQu Tech Previews Magnetyze™ Magnetic Charging System for iPhone 5

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Smartphone users will get a sneak peak at the new Magnetyze™ by BuQu Tech (www.BuQuTech/Magnetyze.com) Magnetic Charging System for the iPhone 5 during 2013 International CES®, which begins today.

“Magnetyze offers iPhone 5 users all the features they’ve been asking for in a charging system and more”

Scheduled for pre-sale availability in early Q2, the Magnetyze Magnetic Charging System for iPhone 5 is the latest addition to the Magnetyze family of magnetic charging accessories – the first charging accessories compatible with both iPhone and Android platforms.

The new iPhone 5 charging system will be on display at the company’s MGM Grand suite throughout CES and at the ShowStoppers press event – January 8, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Wynn Hotel/Lafite Ballroom, Table A47.

Magnetyze by BuQu Tech applies patent-pending magnetics technology to keep iPhone and Android smartphones charged, synchronized and ready to “grab and go.” The high performance Magnetyze platform eliminates multiple cords, clumsy cradles and the need for new charging accessories with every smartphone upgrade. When it is time to upgrade to a new smartphone, only the Magnetyze protective cover needs to be replaced. The desk stand, magnetic charging cable and other Magnetyze-branded accessories will continue to work with any available Magnetyze smartphone case – Android or iPhone.

“Magnetyze offers iPhone 5 users all the features they’ve been asking for in a charging system and more,” said Ophir Marsh, CEO, BuQu Tech, which introduced the Magnetyze family to the iPhone 4/4S in 2012. “It’s the ideal solution for individuals and families on the go who appreciate being able to share a charger with others and saying goodbye to the hassles and expense of purchasing new charging devices or other accessories every time they upgrade.”

Tailored to the iPhone 5’s larger form factor and new Lightning connector, the iPhone 5 bundle contains a Magnetyze protective case, desk stand and magnetic charging and data sync cable. As with the previously released iPhone 4/4S, users simply slide the iPhone 5 into the lightweight Magnetyze protective case and attach the polycarbonate bumper over their smartphone. Magnets integrated into both the case and desk stand enable seamless attachment and simultaneous charging and data synchronization. Through the magic of magnetics, users can swivel their Magnetyze-enabled iPhone 360 degrees for both vertical and horizontal use – without detaching the phone from the stand or disrupting charging or synchronization.

Siri with IPhone Developers as Your Assistant

iPhone development teams have created Siri, which is an exciting new app integrated into the IPhone 4S that can literally turn your iPhone 4S into a personal assistant. A hands free app, Siri uses your voice to place phone calls

iPhone development teams have created Siri, which is an exciting new app integrated into the IPhone 4S that can literally turn your iPhone 4S into a personal assistant. A hands free app, Siri uses your voice to place phone calls, send messages, schedule meetings, check the weather, and ask for your favorite song to be played. The sky is the limit with Siri as your personal assistant and most iPhone developers realize how beneficial this application is for different types of users.

In the beginning, skepticism ran high concerning Siri’s ability to accept natural human language and regional nuances of speech. Outsource iPhone development teams have built the assistant on the other side of the phone. Siri can do more than accept a determined set of commands. Your voice is Siri’s command. Siri is still in the beta stage, but the possibilities of what comes next are exciting.

iPhone Development

In 2007 Apple contracted an outsourced agency called CALO (Cognitive Assistant that learns and Organizes) by SRI International in California. Apple acquired SRI in 2010, and development on Siri’s function to be included on the iPhone, not as a downloaded app, was contracted.

Developers originally designed Siri to be a part of Smartphone such as iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. However because of the purchase of SRI by Apple, these same iPhone development teams have devoted their time into making Siri an integral part of iOS.5 and available only on the IPhone 4S. Siri apps for the IPod Touch and iPad are being refined and developed. It is only a matter of time before Siri is developed for the iPad.

Utilization

Siri comprehends natural language processing to create actions, make suggestions and provide solutions to different questions. It utilizes downloaded iPhone apps to determine what service is being requested, and how to answer those requests. Over a period of time Siri adapts to spoken preferences and learns to personalize results. The offshore iPhone development teams have ensured Siri performs actions by delegating requests to an expanding set of services.

Use Siri to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and so much more. Just talk the way you generally talk. Siri will understand and recognize what you imply. Talk to Siri as if it were a real person. Relay messages to your office administrative assistant like "type and send my memos." Siri will inform your office admin via apps what you want done. Ask Siri for restaurant recommendations, "are there any sushi restaurants nearby?" Siri will search web based applications to find exactly what you want. Siri will continue questioning you until it finds solutions or provides choices.

Personalization

Whether you are walking, driving, or sitting, Siri will write and send your email messages and texts. Siri will play the songs you want to hear. With GPS integration, iPhone development teams have made sure Siri will give directions and actually show you where to go. Calls, schedules and meetings will be in memory banks, and Siri’s timers will alert you. Siri can be your alarm clock. Never go outside without knowing weather conditions. Siri can give you that information. Use your voice. Tap the microphone icon on the keyboard; say what you want to say, and Siri listens. Tap done and react. Update your Facebook, tweet, or write and send Instagrams. With Siri you are never alone, never without an assistant, and simply cannot forget what you need to do. Siri is the personal assistant that iPhone developers designed it to be.

iPhone 5 Components Leaked, Already On Sale & Features Expected from iPhone 5s Camera

The latest conjecture that is doing the rounds in the iPhone fanatics circle is that there are certain parts of the upcoming iPhone 5 that have been noted and they are already on sale. The supposed parts that have been leaked are a headphone jack, earpiece and a Wi-Fi cable part.

The website SW-BOX.com released this news of the leak and as the site is an online vendor it started selling these components immediately. Though this is not the first news about iPhone components leak, these new parts that are supposedly available seem to have attracted more iPhone application developers and iPhone app programmer as these components can be attributed to the applications they are planning to develop.

The 3 New Leaked Components and Their Value

If the new components are legitimate then it becomes evident that there is going to be a significant change and departure from the current component regulation which is currently present in the existing versions of iPhone. In the iPhone 4 and 4S, the headphone jack, volume buttons, and mute switch are grouped together on a single component, while this new part associates the headphone jack with the earpiece speaker and Wi-Fi cabling.

The components, for sale at $US7.71 on SW-Box, differ from the previous iPhones in which the headphone jack is located near the volume buttons and mute switch. The leaked headphone jack appears to be attached to the earpiece and Wi-Fi components, suggesting enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with minimal interference and, potentially, a new shape. The leak suggests the design of the iPhone 5 has been finalised and is on its way. Apple has not announced whether it will debut at its WWDC on June 11th.

No Details on iPhone 5’s New Look

Though these parts have been clearly explained with their working structure and procedure, they give no insight towards the configuration or the basic model of the much anticipated smart phone, iPhone 5. According to a recent report from this technical website called iMore.com, which specializes in the specifications and news related to Apple and its products, Apple still has not zeroed in on the final design, structure and configuration of the avant-garde smart phone.

iMore.com has been a reliable source of information about Apple products, so if information from that site has to be relied on then iPhone app developers do not have much worries as it is believed that the screen size of the new iPhone will not be more than four inches. But there are other speculations contradicting this status saying that Apple still has not decided upon the exact dimensions of the screen.

The Improved Dock Connector

It is also theorized that the new device will feature a smaller dock connector which is still under the process of development. A dock connector is a connector used to attach a mobile electronic device simultaneously to multiple external resources this connector may be embedded in a mechanical fixture used to support or align the new iPhone device. With Apple scraping the 30-pin dock connector, it is now expected to find a solution soon. And with regards to that Apple has signed-up to a European agreement to deploy micro-USB as interconnect for its devices, but hasn’t done anything to adopt it. This may be because of the fact that Apple wants to go cable-free. The main reason for the abandoning of the 30-pin connector is that Apple intends to use that space inside the machine various other technologies so it is not very wise to expect Apple to add an additional tool to enable the former.

As speculated earlier the home button is now not expected to be different from the existing one and the traditional, circular home button is now said to be sustained in this version too. With as many as a hundred speculations rising their way to the ears of iPhone fans and iPhone app developers, per day, it is not very clear on the path and procedure of Apple towards iPhone 5. But if we are to trust sources which have been trustable in the past then this new device is definitely on its way to revolutionize the workings and the fundamental quality of smart phones.

Top 5 Apple Products – Iphone 4, Macbook Pro, Ipad 2, Macbook Air, Ipod Touch 4

As you know Apple is a very massive company and as for that I will be telling you what the 5 top apple products are. First will be Apple Iphone 4, second will be Mac book pro, third will be Ipad 2, fourth will be Mac book air and finally it is the Ipod touch 4th generation (these Apple products are all in order). I will be first starting with Apple Iphone 4 (which is the best selling Apple product so far).

Iphone 4 was first announced in June 7th 2010 but was released in June 24th 2010. The best thing about Iphone 4 is that when you buy an app (game) you can upgrade the app so it is still fun to play with the app as it is upgraded. The best features of an Iphone 4 is that it has good HD crystal clear quality graphics, great camera, clear video recordings and much more. The looks are much better than the previous versions of the iphone because it’s thinner and the Apple Company did a really good job about how the Iphone 4 looks nowadays. You can get an Iphone 4 in black or white (I’d prefer black). The memory you get is 512MB and the storage you can get for Iphone 4 is 16GB or 32GB. Now I will be naming most of the features you get with an Apple Iphone 4 (which I may have mentioned before). Face time, Multitasking, Retina display, 5 mega pixel camera (including LED flash), HD video recording (you can also edit the video in HD), ipod, safari, phone, mail, game centre, folders for apps, photos, home screen, air print, air play, voice control, messages, Itunes store, keyboard, search, app store, maps, compass, voice memo, calendar, keynote, Imovie, pages, Ibooks, numbers, accessibility and much more. If you ever buy an Iphone 4 inside the box you will find an Apple USB adaptor, a three pin plug adaptor and a pair of amazing quality Apple headphones. The handset will cost you about £500-£600 depending on the memory.
