Best iPhone App for Daily Motivation

Do you struggle with getting things done and organization? Staying focused and motivated a problem? If you need a little motivation to help you out, these daily motivator iPhone apps are just the thing.

Using Your iPhone for Personal and Professional Motivation

No matter where you are, what job you have, or what walk of life you come from, everyone needs a little motivation every once in a while. Whether it’s personal motivation to get you through the day, or professional motivation to help you get important things done in your daily life, the iPhone has got you covered (like always). Here are a few select apps that can help you with motivation, organization, and ultimately just help you get things done.

Streaks – The App to Help You Make or Break Habits

They say it takes 27 days of doing something every day before it becomes a habit. This means that whether you need to practice your viola or break a cigarette habit, Streaks is a daily motivator iPhone app that will help you keep track of it. How it works is simple: It provides you with a calendar, you input the activity you need to do for a set number of days, and then it counts your streaks. If you miss a day, the streak starts over and the counter resets, so there’s no cheating as far as this iPhone motivational app goes!

MindNode

For some people, motivation is as simple as getting organized and being able to map out everything they do in their head with clarity and intuition. But what if you could bring that internal map out into the real world, without losing any of the intuitiveness of it? This is where MindNode comes in. Many personal organizer apps and tools stick to a pretty basic formula: Just put it all in a list, organize it by date and time, and then you’re good to go. The fact of the matter is that not everyone thinks in terms of lists, and I’d venture to say that more people don’t think in lists than do. So what does MindNode do? It’s an iPhone motivational app that allows you to create "maps" of your thoughts however you see fit. Draw lines connecting things you need to do in a particular order, or don’t– it’s all in your control. Plus it’s only $6. Small price to pay for the most intuitive and customizable organizer on the market!

My Personal Motivator – The Little Boost of Motivation You Need

If organization isn’t your problem and you just need motivation on a more personal level, then turn to ‘My Personal Motivator’. ‘My Personal Motivator’ is the end-all for daily motivator iPhone apps. What this app does is incredibly simple, and yet can make a world of difference for people in their daily lives: It gives you quotes, based on your mood, to help lift your spirits and keep in a good mindset. Sounds simple, right? Well, you’d be surprised at how helpful it can be. Just select your current mood, and the app delivers a random quote based on that mood, right to the palm of your hand.

Simple, but very effective.

Jillian Michaels Fitness Motivation

The last of these iPhone motivational apps is for all you fitness gurus out there, and it’s about the best that money can buy (which is ironic, considering it’s free). Jillian Michaels Fitness Motivation is an iPhone fitness app that was created with the help of Biggest Loser star and fitness master Jillian Michaels, and it is perfect for anyone looking to lose a few pounds, stay in shape, or just keep those pounds off. The app does a variety of things, namely giving you tips and guidance to your workouts from Jillian Michaels herself, but it also allows you to track calories burned, check the intensity of your workout, chart your progress on graphs, and a slew of other things. The best part? The app is completely free.

iPhone 5’s 4-Inch Display Rumors and Release Date Update for Apple iOS 6 Smartphone

The new iPhone 5’s 4-inch display rumor is gaining a lot of attention lately. Though Apple lovers still want to know when the iPhone 5 release date will be, they’ve become very interested in whether the consumer electronics company actually plans to launch their 6th generation iOS 6 smartphone with a larger than normal screen.

What are the benefits of having the larger screen? For one, gaming would be a bit easier, and a larger screen would likely mean the virtual keyboard will be slightly larger — a good change for those… not so small fingers. Also, for Apple enthusiasts who streaming media, or use FaceTime a lot will likely enjoy the larger display.

There were concerns the iPhone 5’s 4-inch display would cause an issue like that of the iPad with apps not displaying correctly, but recent rumors suggest Apple is one step ahead of their speculating consumers and have already addressed this concern.

Other than that, the only foreseeable issue with the larger display is that it obviously means a larger device, and no one wants to have to carry around an iPhone the size of a toaster. Sure that’s an exaggeration, but the longer you hold a phone to your ear, the heavier it gets!

As for the release date, the gadget is likely to début in October, but the Apple community is not going to give up on a June launch at the 2012 Apple WWDC

So what do you think? Is the new iPhone 5’s 4-inch display going to be worth it? Has Apple learned something from the iPad release, and worked out any possible glitches with the larger screen before the iPhone 5 release date? Will a larger handset be too bulky for Apple fanatics who are accustomed to the slightly smaller models?

Clearly, time will tell.

Watch SNL Hilariously Spoof iPhone 5 Critics, Factory Workers

In what was one of Saturday Night Live’s funniest parody sketches in recent memory, the show took a shot at the iPhone 5 and the tech industry’s response to some of its much-discussed setbacks, including Google Maps.

[More from Mashable: Anonymous Dumps Long-Time Ally Wikileaks [VIDEO]]

In a faux talk show called Tech Talk — starring guest host Christina Applegate — critics bashed the major design flaws surrounding the latest Apple smartphone. To address the issues, three Chinese factory workers joined in to put them in place.

“You wanted Starbucks, but it took you to Dunkin’ Donuts?” said one worker, referring to the new Apple Maps app. “That must be so hard for you.”

Another responded: “I guess we are lucky that we don’t use Maps since we sleep where we work.”

The critics started to backpedal and apologized for being so harsh in their reviews, but the workers didn’t buy it — they whipped out violins to play along with the whining.

Applegate, who served as Tech Talk‘s moderator, asked the workers if they wanted to complain about any American products (as it would only be fair):

“What does America make?” one said. “Does diabetes count as a product?”

Although the video isn’t available on NBC.com just yet, the team at Mediaite.com was quick to post the video online. To check it out, click here.

How to Get Free Apps without Jailbreaking

Transformers Autobots pumpkin pattern

Is there any way to get free apps without jailbreaking? That seems to be the most common question asked on online forums associated with the Apple iPod, Apple iPad and Apple iPhone. Well, the answer to that question entirely depends on what kind of iPhone or iPad apps you want to install.

Apple has maintained the exclusivity of its platform in offering applications for the iOS platform. Hence all applications that you want to install on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, can only be bought and downloaded from the Apple store. To install and operate any other applications, that are not part of this platform, the phone needs to be jailbroken.

Similar to rooting an Android device, jailbreaking the iOS installed on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad removes the restrictions imposed by Apple of exclusive access to Apple App Store applications. Jailbreaking is perfectly legal in USA, but the warranty provide by Apple stands void, if you go for the jailbreaking.

Getting Free Apps Without Jailbreaking iPhone

If you are under the impression that the Apple Apps store doesn’t have free apps, you are mistaken. There are plenty of iPhone applications or you to choose from the Apple Apps Store and its perfectly possible to download and install them without jailbreaking the device. All you have to do is open the web browser on your iPhone, visit the Apple Apps store and browse through the free category of applications, dedicated to the Apple iPhone. There are plenty of entertainment and productivity apps that you can install for free. Just download and install the apps, to start using them.

Getting Free iPod Touch Apps Without Jailbreaking

Just like the Apple iPhone, there are plenty of free iPod applications on the Apple Store website, for you to choose from. Just visit the store using your web browser, choose and download any of the free apps directly to your iPod Touch. Once they are downloaded, install them to start using. There is no need for jaibreaking, unless you want to download and install Cydia applications, which are not a part of the Apple platform.

Getting Free Apps Without Jailbreaking iPad

There are many free iPad applications, which have been made available on the Apple Apps Store. Just like the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, you can download these apps directly to your phone without any need to jaibreak the device.

As you can see, if you want to install free apps from the iTunes store, there is no need for you to jailbreak your iPhone. However, if you need to install Cydia apps, there is no option but to jailbreak the Apple devices. I would personally advice you to avoid jailbreaking any Apple device, for the singular reason, that once you do that, the warranty stands void.

Just for a few applications, breaking your warranty is not at all recommended. There are plenty of apps to choose from the Apple Store and paid applications aren’t that expensive. As discussed before, there have been reports about applications that let you install free apps from outside the Apple Store, without jailbreaking the device. Still, I personally didn’t find any trustful applications that could actually do that. I would again recommend that you stick to the free apps available on the Apple iTunes store and avoid jailbreaking unless the warranty is already void!

iPhone 5 Rumors: New Leaked Images and Details

Rumors of the next iPhone have picked up significant steam this week thanks to the technology blog 9to5Mac. The site has gotten hold of a purported photo of the next iPhone, and has shared details on the enlarged screen size and improved internals.

The site, citing its  sources in the supply chain, said the next iPhone will have a 3.99-inch display with a 1136 x 640-resolution. The current iPhone has a 3.5-inch display with a 960 x 640 resolution. The new phone would be taller than the previous iPhones, but not actually wider like many of the 4- to 5- inch Android phones now on the market.

The leaked images also show that different design we had heard about. The back panel appears to be covered in metal, rather than glass, the headphone jack is on the bottom of the phone now, and, as previously reported, the dock connecter is smaller. As the picture shows, there are also black and white versions.

Additionally, 9to5Mac reported in a separate article that the new iPhone looks to have an improved processor and new graphics. Code in the software also suggests that it will have the same Qualcomm chips in the new iPad which provide LTE speeds.

Lastly, the site corroborates reports that Apple is creating its own map apps in the next version of the iPhone and iPad software – iOS 6. It has been rumored that Apple would move away from the Google Maps currently used in the iPhone and create its own software.

These rumors and leaks come on the heels of Apple’s CEO Tim Cook’s recent statements at the All Things D conference that he is planning to “double down on secrecy.”

Get Back in the Driver’s Seat: Pay Driver License Reinstatement Fees Online

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Texans who have a suspended driver license can now pay reinstatement fees online rather than sending payment by mail. Texas.gov, the official website of the State of Texas, in partnership with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), has launched a new Driver License Eligibility System (www.texas.gov/LicenseEligibility). The system allows suspended drivers to pay reinstatement fees, view all non-fee related requirements, and track their driving eligibility status online.

“We are happy to offer an automated service that helps these Texans get back on the road quicker.”

“This new service not only speeds up payment, but it also gives suspended drivers real-time access to their driving eligibility,” said DPS Driver License Division Assistant Director Rebecca Davio. “We are happy to offer an automated service that helps these Texans get back on the road quicker.” Each year, DPS processes an average of 150,000 driver license reinstatements. Texas.gov also offers an easy, convenient way for Texans to access more than 1,000 other online services, including Driver License Renewal, Vehicle Registration Renewal, and Birth Certificate Orders. You will use Installous to get iPhone apps without iTunes. Return to the home screen. Press the home button on your iPhone to return to the home screen.

Select the download action. In the App description window, select the download tab. Download the App. Tap one of the many sources listed to download the iPhone apps without iTunes. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the application and your internet connection. Installing the App. After the download is complete, Installous will automatically install the application. Sit back and wait until it is finished. Exit to home screen. National Marijuana Business Conference 2012 to Host Dixie Elixirs President Tripp Keber

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 03, 2012

The Mile High City will play host to the National Marijuana Business Conference 2012 next week. John Malanca, owner of the medical marijuana resource website UnitedPatientsGroup.com, says "Colorado’s medical marijuana community is a model for the national cannabis industry and movement as well as the perfect location to host the industry’s premier conference."

National Marijuana Business Conference 2012 will feature over 40 speakers on burning topics ranging from the latest innovations and consumer trends to the likely impact of the national elections and how the medical marijuana community can affect changes in policy and legislation.

More than 200 cannabis business professionals from 18 states are expected to participate in the conference, including Tripp Keber, CEO of Red Dice Holdings, president of Medical Marijuana Inc.’s manufacturing division, and managing director of Dixie Elixirs & Edibles, which makes THC-infused medications, and Dixie X, which produces over the counter hemp oil wellness products.

Keber will lead a session titled “Infused Product Manufacturers: How to Flourish in 2013” on Thursday November 8, at 3:30 pm. He will then share his thoughts on the hottest developments in medical marijuana products and industry technology as part of an expert forum panel on Friday, November 9, at 1:30 pm.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from Tripp Keber and other medical marijuana industry thought leaders from around the nation,” said Malanca. “Medical patients—especially those suffering from chronic pain—need all-natural alternatives to dangerous pharmaceuticals like opiates, which are highly addictive and increasingly fatal with rising incidents of overdose. These are the people who are making things happen.”

Keber is a long-time cannabis activist and industry supporter. He is a founding member of the National Cannabis Industry Association and currently sits on the Colorado Medical Marijuana Industry Group Advisory Board.

“The marijuana business community is full of responsible leaders and caregivers who want to make real change in the world,” said Keber. “I am proud to be a member of this noble group and grateful for the opportunity to speak at the conference.”

Adjacent to the conference, the National Cannabis Industry Association will host its 2nd Anniversary Gala on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6 to 10 pm, beginning with a happy hour from 6 to 7 pm. Stand-alone advance tickets are available from NCIA at cannabisindustrygala, and limited tickets will be available at the door. Each ticket entitles the bearer to one drink, elegant Moroccan appetizers, and a unique gift.

iPhone 4 Gets iPhone 4S Features With IOS5 Update

For the thousands of consumers who bought an iPhone 4 and have recently learned of the new iPhone 4S release but cannot buy the new phone as they are still committed to their existing contract there has been some good news.

Apple have just released their new iOS5 software allowing existing iPhone 4 users to update their phone with over 200 new features that will come as standard on the new iPhone 4S.

These include the new iCloud service which is able to sync photos, music, contacts, apps, documents and calendar with any other Apple devices such as the iPad 2 that the user owns, initially on sign up the user is allocated 5GB of space which can be upgraded to 10, 20 or even 50GB directly from their iPhone 4.

Another new service introduced with the iOS5 is iMessage which is very much like the existing Blackberry Messenger service and allows users to share locations, photos and contacts free of charge as well as send free SMS style text messages.

Also included in the update is an upgrade to the existing iPhone 4 camera which increases the speed it takes to capture a picture by using a two touch function on the main home button for instant access even when the phone is locked, no more needing to enter a security code.

Other new features of note include a photo editing suite which acts very much like a mobile Photoshop for cropping, rotating and removing red-eye from pictures, there also the new iTunes Match included free which syncs and stores all of the users music.

The process of upgrading the iPhone 4 with the new iOS5 software is fairly uncomplicated although not quite as easy as an Android update:

Open iTunes software and click ‘Check for Updates’ in the Menu, you’re looking for iTunes 10.5

The user should then plug in their iPhone at which point they will be prompted to download iOS5

Upon clicking ‘Download and Update’ the user simply needs to follow the on-screen prompts.

Once downloaded, set up an iCloud account and enable the locations services.

Although some of the new features found in the latest iPhone 4S are not included in the update such as the new ‘Siri’ voice recognition software, users of the iPhone 4 can now enjoy many of the new features in the new phone without having to invest in Apple’s latest product.
