Manage Seating Arrangements For Your Wedding With Ease Using Wedding Planner Application

In a perfect world there would not be a need to assign seats for a wedding or reception, but since we live in this one assigned seating is needed. There was an actual survey done by “YOUGOSURVEY” that asked this simple question and an astounding 51% of the people actually preferred to attend events where they have a specific seat assigned to them. Although having people seat themselves sounds great it never really works out at a wedding. The people will be milling about while the food is being served still trying to decide where to sit.

In the past the seating chart was a long and tedious job. It took literally hours to draw up the setting and then to write and erase names as you went along. The wedding planner for iPhone apps can help you take on this chore with less stress and with great ease. Most people hate to go to functions where they are seated at tables with people they have never met. While a few people being seated with strangers cannot be helped it can be a positive experience if you plan it in advance. The seating charts can help you to arrange seating so that couples are not split up.

Organizing the seating arrangements with wedding planner apps for iPad, iPhone, iPod and android come with a program that lets you choose the tables and chairs by style and functionality. You can seat families and groups of people with ease. The software has variations on each of these types of seating arrangements you simply choose the type you want and input the information.

A great practice in Europe is to assign a specific seat to each guest. This practice assures that all of the key players in the event are seated where they can be seen and heard. The seating of the guests at the wedding reception in specific seats also makes it easy for the wait staff to serve. On the other hand a common practice in the USA is to simply assign tables and allow the guest to choose any seat they want at that table. This arrangement cuts out the need for place cards. The wedding planner apps for iPhone, which you will find at a wedding website, have both so you can choose the most appropriate format for your occasion.

When creating your seating arrangements with a wedding planner app for iPhone or other mobile device the same rules apply as if you were seating on paper. Here are a few hints that you should keep in mind when arranging your seating charts.

1.Seat families together. This is especially true of families with younger children.

2.Put each person at a table or next to at least one person that he/she already knows.

3.Older children can be seated at a table of their own but keep infants and toddlers with the parents.

4.Do not mix age groups. Do not seat and elderly couple with a table full of teens.

5.Do not if at all possible seat exes at the same table or even within shouting distance of each other. This rule applies if you do not know how they are getting along.

Protect Your Bubble reveals what the new iPhone 5 connecter will mean

Day One Hundred and something sad...

(PRWEB UK) 12 September 2012

The iPhone 5 will have a smaller USB connector than previous phones, but will connect to the larger USB ports with an adapter, Protect Your Bubble reports.

The new connector port is aimed at giving the iPhone 5 an even slimmer profile as consumers demand lighter, thinner and yet more powerful smartphones. Apple is calling the redesigned connector a “mini dock.” At least one plain Dock to Mini Dock connector will be sold for an expected $10 in the US; a UK price is not available yet.

Other adapters are also in the works, including a slip-on adapter that fits over the head of the iPhone connector to make it fit a larger USB port. Dual device chargers for plugs and vehicles are also in the works, with some leaked images available online.

There is a potential problem though; the iPhone 5 is likely to transfer audio as a digital signal. Other phones transfer audio in analogue. So, to work properly, a connector adapter must have an analogue-to-digital converter built-in. The addition of a converter is expected to drive the price up a good bit.

There are alternatives with Bluetooth and Airplay for wireless transfers. However, using the default software degrades the signal past what some users will find acceptable. The Apt-X codec will maintain audio quality, but that’s another expense.

The smaller connector space should also free up room to make a larger speaker port for the iPhone 5. This could create a better microphone as well. The Siri function would benefit from clearer communications.

Exactly why Apple is making this move is also being widely speculated. One good notion is Apple is trying to regain the market for cables. By coming out with a proprietary dock, Apple will also have a market lock on connectors and cables. Apple has not been very willing to share its hardware technology in the past.

Another reason is the smaller dock may be a move towards making the iPhone 5 more water resistant. Dropping a phone in the pool, toilet, sink or a puddle is a major cause of smartphone damage these days. Fortunately, Protect Your Bubble can help. Welcome to College Releases College Visits iPhone App

Dayton, OH (PRWEB) May 24, 2011

In the era of status updates and the season of college visits, Welcome to College releases the College Visits iPhone app, which allows users to document their experience real-time with each campus. High school students not only want others to know which schools they are visiting, they want an accessible place to store their research. The College Visits app is providing this place as students upload text, photos, and surveys specific to each visit.

“Research and statistics clearly point to mobile as the future and where teenagers are spending a lot of time,” said Justin Bayer, founder and CEO of Welcome to College. “We are excited to be the first in the nation, possibly the world, to create an iPhone app focused on a key element of the college search, keeping track of college visits. This free app is a must have for every high school student preparing for the college search.”

The app’s release has come just in time for summer, when most campus visits are being conducted. “Students are visiting many schools, especially over the summer, and giving them the ability to instantly capture their thoughts and experiences will help them in the fall when determining which schools to apply to,” said Mallory Wood, Assistant Director of Marketing for Saint Michael’s College.

And while the students are talking, the colleges are listening. “It’s a win for everyone,” said Kevin Schultz, University of Dayton Social Media Coordinator. “The College Visits app allows us to effortlessly mobilize our survey including our custom questions. We get the results and the students get an easy and comfortable way to keep track of their thoughts.”

As students approach their campus visits, organize the material collected, and begin the process of applying to schools, they can take comfort in knowing…I have an app for that.

ABOUT WELCOME TO COLLEGE

Welcome to College is a one-stop shop for the college visit experience. Operating out of Dayton, Ohio, this web-based application not only simplifies the visit process, it helps students and parents connect with the colleges and universities that are right for them.

Apple iPhone 5 Release Date Includes Both AT&T and Verizon iPhones

The Apple iPhone 5 release date might be closer than we thought. It’s possible the Apple iPhone 5 release date for both AT&T and Verizon iPhones could come as soon as June or July of 2011. That could be huge news for potential Verizon customers who have become extremely excited about purchasing one of the new Verizon iPhones this February. Rumors of the release date coming as soon as July could temper some of the excitement consumers have been experiencing.

There has not been an exact release date given for the iPhone 5 yet, so that may serve to frustrate some consumers who want exact dates. At Forbes, writer Bob Egan is calling the iPhone 5 a “summer” release, where he urges consumers to consider the early termination fees that could come along with wanting the newest iPhone right away.

AT&T recently raised their fees when it comes to customers wanting to terminate their contracts early, so don’t get ready to jump from AT&T (or Sprint) over to Verizon unless you have read all the new fine print in your contract. Those early termination fees? They are running at $325 on AT&T right now.

The iPhone 5 was not one of the phones revealed during the 2011 CES smartphone demonstrations, possibly because Apple really wants to set its own stage as the release date draws closer. It could be a smart move in the end, especially if something big is going to be included on the new phone.

Maybe by the time the iPhone 5 release date rolls around, Verizon will be ready to present a really great phone on their network.

The first Verizon iPhone (iPhone 4 coming out in February) won’t even be 4G, so those hoping for a faster network while leaving AT&T behind might be in for a shock. Many AT&T iPhone users have experienced the slow network, especially if you are traveling through the areas in the middle of the country. That could lead to immediate frustrations with the new Verizon iPhone, and could be a strong warning about waiting for the iPhone 5.

CNET already revealed reasons to stay away from the iPhone 4, and it is still hard to argue with them, even with all of the excitement of Verizon getting into this new iPhone market.

If the iPhone 5 is indeed out on the market in June, it could make many consumers who purchase the iPhone 4 very frustrated. The reality is that many consumers who have been waiting for the first Verizon drop-date may not even care about rumors of new phones in the future, but rather that they will finally get their hands on an iPhone. It’s hard to blame them after AT&T has seemingly controlled the market for so long.

The ultimate question in all of this is whether the iPhone 5 will still be at the top of the smartphone market in the summer of 2011, or if many of the releases advertised at CES 2011 will take the lead.

Apple iPhone 5 Features And Price

New Apple iPhone 5 features and pricing will surprise all of us. Although it is yet to be released and there is no official information about any specific release date yet, but there is definitely a lot of speculation around it. As per the information, iPhone 5 is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2011, coinciding with Apple’s traditional June-July and would release of new iPhone models. As far as I’m concerned, January 2011 also seems to be a nice release date. This can also help Apple correct the antenna problem evident in the current iPhone 4. They can also introduce another version 4 with the rectification rather than waiting for fifth installment.

There are reports that iPhone 5 will definitely have an improved operating system, (iOS 5), which will have the ability to access 4G networks. It will also boast of extremely fast processor (1.5 GHz), improved battery life which will have up to 14 hours of talk time on 3G and 7 hours on AG. The fifth-generation model will also have additional carriers apart from AT&T. Verizon is most likely to be another career. Video chat on 3G and 4G networks will also be a reality, which is currently usable only on WiFi. The groundbreaking face recognition technology and high video resolution ability will also be packed with newer features. And to top it all, a powerful 8 megapixel camera is supposed integrated with iPhone 5. The new phone may also have radiofrequency identification as well. Imagine this, with the feature, you can use the iPhone just like use your credit card. If this happens, you can forget about waiting in the queue at the checkout forever. You can simply pay for your items wirelessly by waving your iPhone over the panel. This is the new patented technology that is going to be introduced by Apple. The patent depicts how a powerful RFID loop can be built into the circuitry of the iPhone or iPod touch screen.

And that’s not all, the next iPhone memory is going to be a gigantic 64 GB. It would also include more storage as against the current capacity of a iPhone 4 which only has 16 GB and set it to GB of memory.

If you thought iPhone for is really sleek and thinner than 3gs, iPhone 5 will surprise you more. It is going to be even thinner than the current one and will have a shiny glass back piece. The screen will be completely scratch and shatterproof. The mobile phone users will be able to assign different tones to different e-mail accounts. True GPS will be built-in too.

Don’t fret, here’s the good news. The price for the iPhone 5 will be very similar to the current price of iPhone 4.

iPhone Game Development – 5 Most Popular Games On iPhone 4S

While iPhone has always been one of the best smartphones for gaming, iPhone users could not play heavy games on their favorite mobile, owing to the limited processing power of previous iPhone devices. But the launch of iPhone 4S along with the powerful iOS 5 has changed the game. With its powerful A5 microprocessor chip, iPhone 4S has 7 times better graphic support and double the processing speed of iPhone 4.

This has made it possible for gaming companies to develop large-scale games for iPhone. This article takes a look at the 5 must-have games for iPhone 4S. While some of the games listed below are classic hits, the article also includes new games that take full advantage of the diverse facilities offered by iPhone 4S.

Infinity Blade 2

Infinity Blade 1 is already a huge iPhone hit. The second version of this games was released at Apple’s iPhone Presentation Keynote, and this version makes full use of special iPhone 4S features to offer better graphics and gaming experience. The new game is an extended version: it sports over 100 new weapons and a bigger world with better environment. Among games for iPhone 4S, Infinity Blade 2 makes the best use of new iPhone 4S features.

Dead Space

Unlike most survival horror games, Dead Space doesn’t turn boring on iPhone. The iPhone game developer for this console game has been able to recreate the eerie experience on iPhone 4S. The ‘nightmare’ scenarios of this game will grab your attention, and the gory graphics will satisfy your bloodlust. While this is not a game for people who dislike violent games, hardcore gamers will love Dead Space.

Angry Birds Rio

This crazy game doesn’t need use of the special iPhone 4S features, but it is still great fun. Everyone plays angry birds, and if you do not have it in your mobile yet, you are either a newbie or a rarity. This version of Angry Birds uses physics to decide the trajectory of the angry birds, and it offers some surprising twists on the original game. This game teaches an important lesson: iPhone game development doesn’t need to be complex in order to be successful.

Machinarium

This famous PC game has, at last, made it to the iPhone. The mature graphics of this game, combined with superb soundtrack that urges the player to respond faster, make it a very addictive. The point-and-click shooting options for the game suit the iPhone platform perfectly. The best part of this game are its different types of puzzles and changing scenarios. This is a great game for killing time.

Grand Theft Auto 3

One would assume that this popular PC game requires a large screen, but the iPhone 4S version of the game challenges this assumption. GTA iPhone game development team embraced all the new features of iPhone 4S to create this open-world racing heaven: the game works only on iPhone 4S and iPad 2. This version of GTA comes with striking graphics that can only be supported by iPhone 4S’s A5 microprocessor chip.

IAD (iPhoneApplicationDevelopers) is a renowned iPhone game development company. iPhone game development team at IAD consists of experienced iPhone game developers who possess in-depth knowledge regarding different iPhone devices and operating systems. Long queues greet Apple’s iPhone 5 in Sydney

SYDNEY/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Apple Inc’s iPhone 5 hit stores around the globe on Friday, with fans snapping up the device that is expected to fuel a huge holiday quarter for the consumer giant.

The new phone — which was unveiled last week — went on sale first in Australia when stores there opened at 8.00 a.m. local time (2200 GMT, Thursday).

Long lines marked the phone’s debut in Sydney, with an estimated 600 people queuing around the block and customers limited to buying a maximum of two phones.

Most of those waiting were aficionados already hooked on Apple’s earlier iPhones and best-selling iPad tablet computers.

“I feel like if I leave it at home, I go a bit crazy,” James Vohradsky, a 20-year-old student said of his current iPhone. “I have to drive back and get it. I can’t do my normal day without it,” said Vohradsky, who had queued for 17 hours with his younger sister.

The California company has booked more than 2 million pre-orders for the device in the first 24 hours, double the first-day sales of the previous iPhone 4S.

Some analysts expect Apple to sell up to 10 million iPhone 5 models in the remaining days of September.

The new phone has a larger, 4-inch screen and is slimmer and far lighter than the previous model. The iPhone 5 supports the faster 4G network and also comes with a number of software updates, including Apple’s new in-house maps feature.

The new maps feature, however has been criticized by some users for a number of geographical errors, missing information and a lack of features.

Vohradsky said the lack of mobile payment chip was also “a bit of a letdown”. Apple did not embed Near Field Communication technology used to turn cellphones into mobile wallets into the iPhone 5.

The iPhone is Apple’s highest-margin product and accounts for half of its annual revenue. Apple has said it will make initial deliveries of the iPhone 5 on Friday in the United States and most of the major European markets, such as France, Germany and the United Kingdom. The phone then goes on sale on September 28 in 22 other countries.

Apple plans to sell the new phone in 100 countries by the end of the year.

Influential reviewer Walt Mossberg labeled it the best smartphone on the market but criticized the mapping application.

The latest iPhone comes as competition in the smartphone market has reached a fever pitch with Apple up against phones that run on Google Inc’s Android software. Android has become the most-used mobile operating system in the world, while Apple’s key supplier and rival, Samsung Electronics, has taken the lead in smartphone sales.

5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Jailbreak Your Iphone

Many people who own an iPhone decide that, although it is a very powerful device, it isn’t enough. They may want to have more control over their phone or simply go against the major corporate giants that dictate what they can and cannot do on their personal device. However, it is not always the best decision to jailbreak an iPhone and there are quite a few reasons why you should seriously reconsider jailbreaking your iPhone if it has ever crossed your mind. 1. Apple places restrictions on the device for a reason. Although it does not always make sense, Apple does make the device and as a result they know what the device is intended and not created to do. One of the features so many people wanted is multi tasking for the device but it wasn’t implemented because it would kill the battery life much faster than the phone already did. 2. The possibility of bricking your iPhone exists. This means that the device will completely stop working and there will be no support offered by Apple to fix it because what you were doing was not supported or condoned by the company. You may also risk complications or problems with conflicting issues. Many people feel that the risk of ruining the device is not worth jailbreaking it since the iPhone does work on its own without any extra tweaking needed. 3. Updates to the iPhone disable the ability to jailbreak it. Apple is very smart and their developers do study how the phone has been modified. Every time the update happens, individuals who have done a jail break on their phone have to discover, yet again, how to crack Apple’s code in order to jail break it again. It can be quite tedious to have to modify your phone every time an update occurs. You also risk bricking your phone every single time a jail break is needed. 4. You become susceptible to viruses when you decide to jail break your iPhone. Although viruses are not very widespread on the iPhone the possibility of you getting one is there and this risk increases once the phone has been modified. Apple is obviously not going to be able to create a phone that is 100% secure but in the history of existing, the iPhone’s two reported viruses occurred as a result of phones being jail broken. 5. Your warranty becomes null and void once you decide to jail break the iPhone. The professionals who handle the phones can tell if it has been modified and once it has been detected, you are out of luck if you want to get it fixed. This is a serious risk you take when it comes to the chance that you may end up bricking your iPhone. It is quite a risk that individuals who are cautious in their lives may not want to take. Jail breaking the iPhone is something that is very popular and offers a lot more control over the device but it not the best choice for everyone.

Samsung’s Galaxy S III gets Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update in Europe

Polish customers gets the update first, with the rest of Europe coming in October

Samsung’s Galaxy S III has begun updating to version 4.1.1 of Android, affectionately known as Jelly Bean, in Europe. This hopefully means that U.S. customers will see the Jelly Bean update sooner, rather than later. Users in Poland are the first to receive the newest update, while other European customers will begin to see it "no later than October."

First revealed at the 2012 Google I/O conference in June, Jelly Bean brings several improvements to the Android platform, including improved widgets, offline voice typing, expanded notifications, Google Now, two home screen modes, and much more. It’s important to note that the Galaxy S III will use Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, so it’s not yet known if all of Jelly Bean’s features will be available.

Samsung has also revealed the complete list of Android devices that will receive the Jelly Bean update in the near future, including the Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and Galaxy Note 10.

Choosing Boating iPhone Apps for GPS Marine Navigation on Boats

Apple iPhones have grown in popularity because of their ease of use and wide availability of applications that enable special features. The boating industry has recognized this trend and is introducing new boating iPhone apps, such as GPS marine navigation, that offer boaters conveniences on the water. Apps are also available to work on iPod touch and iPads.

More and more boaters are choosing downloadable GPS applications for Apple iPhones as a cost-effective and convenient portable navigation option on the water. Ideal for smaller boats, an iPhone app for GPS navigation can eliminate the need for more expensive hand held GPS devices.

Boaters should consider all of the conveniences and functionality when choosing to download a new GPS navigation application for an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.

Conveniences of Boating iPhone Apps as Portable Navigation

Applications for the Apple iPhone make carrying an iPhone a multi-use device. A GPS marine navigation app turns an iPhone into a valuable and convenient portable navigation system on the water.

For boaters, there are many advantages and conveniences to using an iPhone as a portable marine navigation device:

  • Cost savings. A downloadable GPS application for an iPhone can cost about $50 USD. The savings can be hundreds or thousands when compared to a hand held or dash mounted GPS device. A GPS app gives a boater the power of a color chartplotter for a fraction of the cost.
  • Space savings. Space is a premium on a boat. Having one device with multiple uses (phone, camera, GPS and more) is a space saver.
  • Portability. An iPhone is very mobile and can be easily transported from one boating destination to another. A boater renting a small boat while on vacation can simply bring their iPhone for a portable navigation system while traveling. Using a rugged case like an OtterBox Defender case will help to protect your iPhone while on the water.

Using Marine Charts or GPS Navigation with an iPhone Application

The first question boaters should ask about GPS iPhone apps is whether or not it is a reliable option for navigation. Understanding how marine GPS applications work on an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad will help a boater decide if a downloadable app is right for them.

An iPhone application is essentially charting software that will enable you to utilize nautical charts such as official U.S. NOAA nautical charts or admiralty digital charts from the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO). After purchasing the iPhone application, the nautical charts are downloaded onto your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad device.

Requirements for Portable GPS Navigation with iPhone Apps

Downloaded iPhone boating applications with GPS navigation do not require a cell or WIFI internet connection to use the marine charts or maps. An internet connection is needed to initially download the application and charts and then they operate independently on your iPhone device. Each chart or map downloaded typically takes less than 1 MG of space on the iPhone.

Nautical charts and maps are selected and can be updated online as needed for various boating destinations. Navigation software can also utilize built-in location services through GPS, cell phone or WIFI to plot locations real time on marine charts and maps. Be sure to also look for features that support real-time plotting, waypoints & routes, log tracking and GRIB weather forecasts when choosing boating iPhone apps for GPS marine navigation.
